Geoffrey D. Butia
DVM
Dr. Butia has been practicing for 17 years. Dr. Butia completed his BS in Animal Bioscience studies at Penn State University and graduated from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Dr. Butia takes a special interest in difficult internal medicine cases and soft tissue surgery. Of course, preventative medicine plays a key role in our practice. There is a lot of truth in “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” We pride ourselves on staying up to date on the latest preventive medicine strategies to keep your pet happy and healthy through all stages of its life.
Dr. Butia enjoys spending time with his wonderful family. His wife Kristin, who does so much behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly, and their amazing children Giuliana, Hank, Stevie, and Dylan, daughters-in-law Adrienne and Madi, and grandson Rafe and granddaughter Wrenley Rae. At home, two Goldendoodles, Kaia and Sofia, definitely keep things interesting. Fly fishing and fly tying are a year-round passion of Dr. Butia’s.
